About The Position

South Port Square, a 40-acre campus in Port Charlotte, is seeking a hospitality-driven Clinic Nurse to join their dedicated team. This role involves assisting Health & Wellness Director(s) with daily clinical tasks, including provider follow-ups, order management, admission/readmission assistance, chart and medication cart audits, and managing the clinic phone line. The position emphasizes creating a positive impact on residents' lives within a supportive work environment, part of a network managed by Life Care Services (LCS).

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
LPN with a current license in Florida.
At least 2 years’ experience long-term care or assisted living/memory care preferred.
Basic computer proficiency.
Ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
Basic mathematical Skills required.
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Assists in admission and discharge procedures.
Responds to resident emergency call system as indicated.
Makes rounds with physicians and transcribes orders.
In conjunction with Health & Wellness Director, keeps physician and family aware of change in resident’s condition.
Maintains the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.
Assures continuity of services and care.
Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
Assumes a proactive role in resolving resident issues & concerns related to assigned areas of responsibility.
Functions under intense time pressure.
Contributes to a positive, healthy, and safe working environment.
Works as a member of the team.
Accepts change in a positive manner.
Performs any other relevant duties as assigned.
Administer direct care as necessary.
