This position is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Primary Care department at the CoxHealth Center Nixa. The role involves both administrative and clinical duties to support patient care and clinic operations.
Requirements
- Graduate of a state board accredited practical nursing program.
- Current License Practical Nurse or Graduate Practical Nurse active in the state of Missouri.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Carry out delegated tasks as directed by supervisors or with provider oversight.
- Proficient computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous nursing experience, particularly in an outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting.
- IV certification in the State of Missouri.
Responsibilities
- Perform administrative duties including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in medical records.
- Measure and record vital signs.
- Collect demographics and medical information, including review of medication list.
- Prepare patients for examination.
- Clean rooms and equipment and stock supplies.
- Administer medications as ordered by the physician.
- Perform specific competencies as directed by the department.
