About The Position

The Clinic Lead supports both clinical operations and team coordination by serving as the first point of contact for staff issues, assisting with scheduling, and facilitating communication between the team and leadership. This role helps train and coach staff, ensures quality standards are met, and contributes to patient care through hands-on clinical support. The Clinic Lead also assists with evaluations, inventory management, and serves as a resource for new workflows and initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED Certificate
  • 2 years in medical office
  • CMA certificate or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in training new team members and supporting ongoing skill development through coaching and feedback
  • Facilitating communication between the team and management, relaying important feedback and information
  • Tracking team progress, ensuring quality standards are met, and report on performance to leadership
  • Assisting with managing the schedules of all Clinic staff, including managing time off schedules and daily call outs.
  • Assisting in the evaluation of all Clinic staff; participates in development of key performance indicators for each position
  • Assisting with verification of timecard data with the direction of the Clinic Manager or Clinic Supervisor
  • Patient care responsibilities as assigned, which may include scheduling and organizing patient flow, accompanying patients to exam/procedure room, assist patients with changing to exam gowns, and transfer to exam table if needed.
  • Assessing patient’s general condition and collect patient history.
  • Documenting health history, activities, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record
  • Providing basic patient care as ordered by physician and assist physician with various procedures.
  • Providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions to patient
  • Wound dressing changes, preparing injections, suturing and staple removal, sterile tray set-ups, and obtaining lab/x-ray report
  • Cleaning and stocking exam rooms
  • Responsible for inventory and ordering medical supplies
  • Adhering to infection control/safety guidelines and confidentiality policies
  • Scheduling patient appointments, scheduling referrals to other physicians
  • Complying with HIPAA, OSHA and Red Flag Rule
  • Acts a superuser for new business initiatives
  • Serving as the first point of contact for team issues and escalating complex problems to the supervisor or manager
