About The Position

The Clinic Coder reviews clinical documentation and assigns accurate modifiers, diagnosis codes, CPT codes, and HCPC codes in a Rural Health Clinic setting. The role supports compliant billing, accurate reimbursement, clean claims submission, denial prevention, and adherence to federal, state, payer, and organizational coding requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited coding, health information, medical billing, or related program is preferred.
• Coding certification is preferred, such as CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA, CCA, or equivalent credential.
• Previous HCC coding experience is preferred.
• Previous experience with Epic and 3M Encoder is preferred.
• 1–3 years of clinic, professional, or specialty coding experience is preferred.
• Experience in a rural health clinic is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Review clinical documentation.
