About The Position

The Portal Education Clerk is a tech-savvy professional responsible for increasing patient engagement by assisting with the setup and navigation of the Athena Patient Portal. Responsibilities include: In-Person Enrollment: Guide patients through the Athena portal registration process on their mobile devices. Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve common identity verification issues and assist with password creation/security setup. Education: Clearly communicate the benefits of the portal (lab results, messaging, bill pay) to patients of all technical skill levels. Clinic Rotation: Follow a weekly schedule to provide coverage at different sites. Data Integrity: Update patient contact information in the Athena system as needed. Compliance: Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

• High-School Diploma
• High comfort level with smartphones (iOS/Android) and mobile browsers.
• Excellent communication skills and the patience to coach adults through new technology.
• Time-management skills; must arrive at scheduled location on time.
• Reliable personal transportation is required.
