CNA/PCT - Clinic Care Technician (Casual) - Pediatrics Clinic
About The Position
Essentia Health is seeking a Clinic Care Technician to serve in the pediatrics practice at our South University Clinic in Fargo, North Dakota. This CCT works on a casual, as-needed basis, picking up shifts to support the needs of the facility. Shifts are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. No weekend, holiday, or on-call rotations are required. Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) is preferred, but not required. Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
- Experience in healthcare, using electronic medical records (EMR), and medical terminology are preferred for this role.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Supports and assists providers and clinical staff with administrative and select patient care tasks
- Supports patient scheduling and work queue needs as assigned
- Follows up on no-shows and works with providers to review and approve add-ons
- Greets patients, supports virtual visits, completes identification verification, height, weight and obtains vitals
- Chaperones exams as needed
- Administers questionnaires and documents in electronic medical record
- May perform limited patient care tasks based on training
- Processes incoming mail, scans, copies, and faxes as needed, prints and updates forms, answers internal phone calls, and may place office supply orders
- Customer service
- Ability to follow direction and perform tasks within scope of role
- This position may float to support other areas as assigned.
