About The Position
The Clinic Assistant acts as a collaborative member of the clinical team to support continuity and quality of patient care. The role initiates patient care, gathers vital signs, prepares patients and examination rooms for procedures, and collects specimens. The Clinic Assistant provides patient education and support as needed to assist physicians, patients, and families, and returns patient phone calls.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- BLS certification must be completed within the orientation period.
- At least one year of clinic experience in a family or pediatric care setting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize and change tasks frequently and quickly.
- Ability to use a computer, fax machine, and copy machine.
- Detail-oriented and able to work well in a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Phlebotomy experience.
