Requirements

  • Completion of a Medical Office Assistant, Clinical Assistant, or related healthcare program preferred
  • Phlebotomy experience considered an asset
  • Experience performing ECGs and basic clinical procedures preferred
  • Previous experience in a clinic or healthcare setting is an asset
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency with OSCAR EMR system and basic computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Greet and room patients in a timely and professional manner
  • Obtain and document vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, oxygen saturation)
  • Collect patient histories and assist with preliminary triage prior to physician assessment
  • Prepare patients for examination and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures as required
  • Support patient flow by coordinating with physicians and nursing staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times
