Performing general office duties incorporating a variety of basic and routine clerical and secretarial duties in a clinical environment. Under direct/close supervision, performs a variety of basic and routine clerical and secretarial duties. These may include preparing and typing routine correspondence, form letters and reports, answering telephone & routing calls, greeting visitors and patients, setting up and maintaining filing systems and basic databases, completing forms and reports, recording meeting minutes, making copies, preparing purchase orders, assisting with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, distributing incoming mail, maintaining calendar and daily schedules, scheduling appointments & arranging meetings, maintaining inventory of office forms and supplies, assisting with personnel administrative functions, and acting as backup to other clerical personnel. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the collection of Patient Statistical Profile and Continuous Quality Improvement Data, assisting with month-end reporting, auditing records for compliance with medical records standards, maintaining records of hospitalization and patient travel, preparing medical records for facsimile or mail, organizing patient travel, coordinating with transient patient paperwork, coordinating transfer placements and confirmations, ensuring admissions paperwork is completed and sent to designated departments, assisting with medical appointment referrals and scheduling, assisting with transportation coordination and referrals, and ensuring data entry for Crown Web, ESRD 2728, ESRD 2746 and PART is completed.
