About The Position

This role involves monitoring foreclosure-related messages and processes across client sites, ensuring timely updates and responses. The Legal Assistant will serve as a liaison between clients and Foreclosure Operations, facilitating clear, accurate, and timely communication. The position requires updating and managing general foreclosure processes on active foreclosure files within client systems, working these files through all stages of the foreclosure lifecycle according to client requirements. Key responsibilities include monitoring and completing document-related processes, acting as a liaison between attorneys and clients, identifying stagnant files, reviewing and auditing internal systems for client summaries, and escalating issues when case notes are insufficient. The role also involves responding to general case inquiries and addressing messages across client sites.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience working in an office environment
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Ability to conduct and report research
  • Documentation Skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines while working on multiple projects
  • Ability to utilize multiple internal computer systems
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in an extremely fast paced environment
  • Capacity to handle a high volume of email & file communications each day
  • Ability to retain and manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Aptitude to quickly learn and navigate legal client systems
  • Extreme attention to details and ability to learn and interpret legal terminology
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Law Firm experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Update and manage general foreclosure processes on active foreclosure files within client systems.
  • Work foreclosure files through all stages of the foreclosure lifecycle in accordance with client requirements.
  • Monitor, reproject, and complete document-related processes, including affidavits, loss mitigation packages, and consent judgments.
  • Serve as a liaison between attorneys and clients on foreclosure matters, ensuring clear and timely communication.
  • Identify stagnant files and notify key members of management to facilitate resolution and forward progression.
  • Review and audit internal systems to provide clients with concise summaries, status updates, and hearing results.
  • Escalate to management when case notes are insufficient to respond to client inquiries or site messages.
  • Respond to general case inquiries on behalf of Foreclosure Operations and communicate routinely with clients via email and client platforms.
  • Address and resolve messages across all client sites in a timely and professional manner.
