About The Position

Assists with adult clients enrolled in a day program with daily life, social and academic skills and/or behavior management training. Observes and monitors client’s behavior and charts observations and incidents. Staff may need to assist with changing. Serves as role model and provides emotional support and feedback to client & their support system.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months social services experience.
• Valid driver’s license with 6 points or fewer.
• At least 21 years of age with three years driving experience to provide transportation.
• Proficient with computers.
• Ability to observe and monitor program participants’ behavior.
• Ability to redirect behavioral outbursts.
• Ability to train program participants in routine daily living skills.
• Ability to participate in supportive guidance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with developmentally delayed population.
• CNA preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
