The Client Services Representative (CSR) is the primary link between the laboratory and clients, providing technical information and ensuring a seamless client experience. This role requires accuracy, patience, and strong communication skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. A cooperative, team-focused mindset and commitment to quality service are essential. Guided by the Client Services Manager or Supervisor, the CSR upholds the company’s promise of "Service Beyond Analysis".

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years laboratory or customer service
  • Confident computer skills (Outlook, Microsoft Office and Excel, Laboratory Information Management Systems [LIMS] and Reporting Systems)
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; confident telephone communications essential
  • Patience; customer rapport building skills are essential
  • Ability to mentor others in the team
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Attention to detail for routine tasks and commitment to quality standards
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently under pressure
  • Previous Customer Service experience and team-oriented focus is essential

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main client liaison, embodying AGAT’s mission of Service Beyond Analysis through timely, accurate communication and support.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries, providing technical details, pricing, and sampling requirements, and coordinating laboratory testing or subcontracting as needed.
  • Manage client projects end-to-end — from sample receipt to reporting, exports, and invoicing — ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Laboratory, Logistics, Accounting, and Sales) to resolve issues, process requests, and maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, problem-solving, and regular meetings.
  • Support team development, participate in audits, and contribute to continuous improvement within the Client Services department.
