About The Position

The Client Services Representative/Phone Seller represents Saks Fifth Avenue’s ideals of service and quality to the customer. This position responds to all assigned customer escalations, ensuring a timely response and resolution to issues, ensuring the customer's overall Saks Fifth Avenue experience is a positive one. Additionally, the ideal candidate has a strong working knowledge of the store, the designers it carries, as well as the many services offered, and they use this knowledge to provide customers with personalized assistance to enhance their shopping experience and convert interactions into sales. In this role, you must be able to work in a team-oriented environment, have strong people skills and be comfortable with building client relationships.

Requirements

  • Strong written communication skills.

  • Ability to respond to customers, co-workers, and Management in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Strong math skills (i.e. percentage calculations).

  • You possess a positive, solution-oriented, and customer-focused mindset
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility to adapt to change
  • Collaborative - should be able to work with peers across multiple business verticals
  • Act as a liaison for the client and have the ability to develop relationships and address all client needs
  • Able to quickly assess customer needs in terms of: special occasion, vendors/product of interest, special language needs, how much time customer has, etc.
  • Always portrays a professional and polished demeanor demonstrating confidence and a positive attitude.
  • You are passionate about selling and have the innate ability to convert an inquiry into a selling moment
  • Minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience working in hospitality, luxury retail or servicing client
  • A passion for providing a seamless and elevated experience for the client
  • Knowledge of international designers and contemporary brands in menswear, women's wear, accessories, footwear, & beauty
  • Strong understanding of company brand
  • Ability to understand a customer’s concerns and quickly determine solutions with limited supervision.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Has the ability to interact professionally and respectfully with people

Responsibilities

  • Handle in-store and telephone inquiries in a prompt, professional and courteous manner while working to ensure first call resolution with every inquiry.
  • Input and/or update data and file information efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensure all inquiries are resolved in accordance with department and SFA policies, procedures and standards.
  • Assist in the achievement of department and company results by always being conscious of priorities and the needs of the department.
  • Maintain an acceptable attendance and punctuality record including adherence to schedule.
  • Liaise with internal departments.
  • Ad hoc responsibilities as needed
