About The Position

RHN is seeking full-time Client Services Accountants for their Richmond and Burnaby offices, starting in January 2027. These positions are part of the CPA Pre-Approved Program. The role involves working with a diverse client base across various industries, offering opportunities to gain varied experience and develop well-rounded skill sets. The position is based in either the Richmond or Burnaby office, with potential for initial weeks in Vancouver during the office transition to Burnaby in early 2027. The ideal candidate is passionate about accounting, enjoys problem-solving, is empathetic towards clients, and can communicate financial information in plain English. They are comfortable working from the office and visiting client locations across British Columbia.

Requirements

  • Completion or near completion of an accounting program at a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • A willingness to learn, take initiative and contribute as part of a collaborative team.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous accounting co-op experience, particularly in public practice, is considered an asset
  • Exposure to CaseWare/CaseView, Taxprep, and Microsoft Office, whether in an academic or professional setting

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and completing a variety of engagements including T1 and T2 tax returns and filings
  • Assisting with compilation, review and audit engagements
  • Meeting internal and external deadlines, while working within established time budgets
  • Actively participating in ongoing professional development including firm-wide learning sessions and maintaining a mindset of continuous learning and improvement
  • Embracing RHN’s values and leadership philosophies, and applying these principles in your interactions with staff and clients
