The base hourly pay rate is $24.76 - $27.24. This role will provide routine access to protected health information (PHI). Employees will be trained on reasonable safeguards and are expected to maintain strict confidentiality and abide by all applicable privacy and security standards. Employees are expected only to access PHI when required to fulfill job duties.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Computer proficiency with the ability to learn new software quickly
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Laboratory Assistant (LAS or LA) experience
- Previous customer service experience
- 1–2 years working in a clinical laboratory environment
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate responses to client and customer questions
- Perform laboratory assistant duties including specimen processing, add-ons, and send-outs
- Investigate and resolve client issues, discrepancies, and report concerns
- Notify clients of STATs and critical values in accordance with guidelines
- Track and monitor send-out tests, escalating issues when necessary
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely service and accurate results
- Maintain confidentiality, compliance, and professional communication at all times
