Part-Time Client Service Representative (CSR)
About The Position
Chisholm Trail Veterinary Clinic in Lockhart, Texas is looking for a friendly, dependable, and compassionate Part-Time Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our veterinary team! This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced veterinary environment, connecting with pet owners, and helping create a positive experience for every client and patient who walks through our doors. We are looking for someone who can help throughout the week and work two Saturdays per month. If you are dependable, organized, customer-service oriented, and love animals, we would love to meet you!
Requirements
- Previous customer service, receptionist, veterinary, medical, or animal care experience preferred
- Comfortable working in a busy veterinary hospital environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Provides exceptional customer service and treats every client with compassion and respect
- Dependable and able to work a flexible part-time schedule
- Comfortable working two Saturdays per month
- Able to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Works well as part of a collaborative team
- Comfortable learning veterinary terminology and hospital processes
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn veterinary practice management software
- Genuine love for animals and a desire to help pets and their families
Responsibilities
- Welcoming clients and their pets with a warm, friendly, and professional approach
- Providing outstanding customer service throughout each client's visit
- Answering phones, responding to client questions, and directing calls appropriately
- Scheduling appointments and managing the flow of client visits
- Checking clients and patients in and out of the hospital
- Maintaining accurate client and patient information
- Processing payments and assisting with financial transactions
- Communicating appointment information, treatment recommendations, and follow-up instructions
- Assisting veterinary team members with client communication and coordination of patient care
- Helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
- Providing compassionate support to clients during routine visits as well as more emotional or stressful situations
- Working collaboratively with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, assistants, and other hospital team members
