About The Position

This role is for a Client Service Representative at the Gray branch, focusing on interacting with clients and assisting them with their banking and financial needs. As the face of the bank, you will provide exceptional customer service. After training, you will handle teller functions, open new accounts, and manage moderately complex transactions accurately. You will also identify clients' financial needs, offer solutions, build strong relationships, and refer clients to specialists for services like mortgages, commercial loans, and investments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ year of experience in a customer service role.
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn teller processing software.
  • Desire and ability to learn many products/services and thoroughly explain their features and benefits.
  • Ability to identify customer needs, recommend applicable products/services and close the sale.

Responsibilities

  • Receives checks and cash for deposit to savings and checking accounts, verifies deposit amounts, examines checks for endorsement and negotiability, and enters transactions into bank records via on-line teller terminal.
  • Accurately processes payments for loans such as mortgage and installment, ensuring correct amounts and collection of late charges.
  • Cashes checks and pays money from savings and checking accounts upon verification of signatures and client account balances. Inspects all checks, bonds, money orders, savings withdrawals, etc. to determine their negotiability.
  • Effectively uses Client Relationship Management System to document client interactions, calls, incidents and activities.
  • Develops skills for duties including opening checking and savings accounts; controlling vault cash; ATM processing; TCR use and processing; processing check re-orders; opening safe deposit boxes; cash advances; selling bank checks and money orders including logging needed information.
