About The Position

Pieper Veterinary is seeking a kind, compassionate, and detail-oriented Client Service Representative with a focus on Primary Care to join their team in Middletown, Connecticut. The practice aims to make the community, and the people and animals within it, happier and healthier. The hospital is VECCS Level 1 Certified and includes specialists in Emergency & Critical Care, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Oncology, Surgery, and Exotics, along with a full staff of experienced Emergency and Primary Care Veterinarians. The hospital teams work closely together to deliver the highest quality of care. The company values collaboration and inclusivity, promoting an environment where everyone feels welcome. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, possess the ability to remain calm during emotional and stressful situations, and be able to handle patients on a leash or in a carrier. Experience with EzyVet and Smartflow are a plus but not required. In this role, the representative will also be filling medications for clients. Input from all staff members is highly valued.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a veterinary setting, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with veterinary terminology or a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, and staff.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a warm, friendly, and empathetic approach to clients and their pets.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff members to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Flexibility to assist with other duties as needed and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, especially in high-stress or emotional situations.
  • Willingness to continue learning and stay updated on best practices in client service and veterinary care.
  • Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with EzyVet and Smartflow are an additional plus but not required.
