Client Service Rep
About The Position
BrokerTeam is a leading insurance brokerage dedicated to providing our clients with the best insurance solutions tailored to their individual and business needs. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, with a passion for helping others and a strong desire to grow within the insurance industry. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, assisting them with a range of insurance inquiries, from policy updates to claims assistance. You will work closely with our brokers and underwriting teams to deliver outstanding service, upsell and cross-sell insurance products, and maintain client satisfaction.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- RIBO license in good standing (or willingness to obtain within a specified period).
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in insurance or financial services
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging customer interactions
Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls and respond to email inquiries from new and existing clients regarding their insurance policies and general queries
- Assist clients with policy changes, updates, renewals, and cancellations
- Process claims and provide ongoing support to clients throughout the process
- Collaborate with the sales team to cross-sell additional insurance products
- Process changes via EDI upload/download and insurer portals
- Provide accurate and timely information about coverage options, billing, and policy details
- Resolve customer issues and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
- Stay current on insurance industry trends and product offerings to provide the best recommendations to clients
