About The Position

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking a Client Service Manager to join their Employee Health & Benefits team. This role focuses on maintaining and expanding client relationships through exceptional client servicing skills. The Client Service Manager will collaborate with sales teams, carriers, and clients to establish and renew benefit plans, and will also handle service functions such as employee open enrollment meetings and wellness options. The position involves approximately 70% internal work and 30% client interfacing, including discussions, strategy meetings, and presentations. A key aspect of the role is coordinating and advancing Wellness drivers for assigned and requested clients. Continuous education is expected to maintain licenses, stay current with regulations, and enhance insurance knowledge.

Requirements

  • Active Life and Health license
  • Exceptional oral and written communication and relationship building skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to conduct presentations and speak to diverse groups
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with agency management systems and web browser software
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Strong knowledge of plan designs from varied carriers in the marketplace
  • Managing accounts through the calendar year life cycle
  • Assisting clients with federal and state law compliance and interpreting contractual language

Responsibilities

  • Utilize exceptional client servicing skills to maintain and expand client relationships.
  • Collaborate with the sales team, carriers, and the client to establish and renew benefit plans.
  • Perform service functions such as employee open enrollment meetings and wellness options.
  • Provide day-to-day service to ensure client needs and expectations are met.
  • Coordinate and actively participate in the advancement of Wellness drivers for assigned clients and others as requested.
  • Participate in continuing education to maintain licenses, stay current with regulations, and enhance insurance knowledge.
  • Coordinate and complete the marketing process for new and renewal group business, including compiling census data, benefit plans, soliciting quotes, monitoring requests, corresponding with carriers, and preparing renewal proposals and presentations.
  • Prepare employee communications.
  • Organize and conduct enrollment meetings.
  • Manage re-enrollment forms.
  • Review contracts and summary plan descriptions.
  • Meet via conference calls or in person with carriers and the client to stay on track and cover all aspects of implementation.
