About The Position

Shaker Recruitment Marketing is now accepting applications for our 2026 Summer Internship Program. Our internship program provides hands-on learning, mentorship, and networking opportunities that will help you build a strong foundation for your future career. We are seeking a highly organized Client Services Intern to join our team for 10 weeks in our Oak Park office. The intern will gain hands-on experience in various areas, including:

Requirements

  • Availability to work 32 hours+/week in our Oak Park office.
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong communication, organization and time management skills.
  • Proficiency In Microsoft Office and other common software applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive in asking questions.
  • Eagerness to learn, grow and develop; open to taking on new challenges and embracing new ways of thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily client service tasks, including listening to client needs, preparing updates, and tracking action items.
  • Coordinate meetings, take notes, and help synthesize client feedback for internal teams.
  • Communicate professionally with clients via email, phone, and collaborative platforms.
  • Assist in building strong client relationships by anticipating needs and following through on deliverables.
  • Work with creative teams to help ensure deliverables (e.g., social banners, content pieces, branding assets) align with client goals.
  • Partner with digital and programmatic teams to learn how campaign planning, execution, and optimization tie back to client priorities.
  • Support analytics team members with data collection, performance reporting, and insights that impact optimization and recommendations.
  • Engage with internal departments (programmatic, digital media, creative, analytics, etc) to understand how work is scoped, produced, and delivered.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, materials, and presentations for client meetings.
  • Support project tracking by updating logs, monitoring timelines, and following up with internal teams to keep work on schedule.
  • Help prepare campaign summaries or performance reports, offering context around what the data shows and why it matters.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for enhancing client outcomes.
  • Attend team meetings and internal training to broaden understanding of recruitment marketing disciplines.
  • Seek feedback, ask questions, and take initiative to learn agency processes and tools.
  • Embrace a growth mindset by applying new knowledge to support client solutions.
