About The Position

California Bank & Trust is hiring a full-time Client Service Associate (Teller) for its El Cajon, California branch. The role provides customer service and banking support to clients, processes transactions accurately and in accordance with bank policies, and helps clients identify services that meet their financial needs. Associates work in a collaborative, relationship-centered culture focused on serving communities, families, and businesses.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of banking, cashiering, customer service, sales, balancing, or other related experience, or successful completion of company-approved training.
• Proficient knowledge of cashiering, balancing, debits, credits, bank products, and/or banking.
• Working knowledge of math.
• Solid balancing and customer service skills.
• Ability to cross-sell bank products based on clients’ needs.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures while maintaining an acceptable balancing record.
• Identify and address client needs by providing services such as opening accounts, issuing counter checks, maintaining accounts, issuing or activating ATM cards, transferring money, ordering checks, and receiving loan payments.
• Resolve client problems through direct action or referral to appropriate branch or bank resources.
• Identify and maximize cross-selling opportunities by exploring client needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
