Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together Our Pension Analyst works in a team and is responsible for administering pension plans for assigned clients and providing analytical and administration support to both clients and the team.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education (preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science)
  • 0-2 years of Defined Benefit or Defined Contribution pension administration experience, including retirement, termination, and death calculations, and experience with multi-employer pension plans
  • Knowledge of Defined Benefit pension plans and provincial pension and tax legislation
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Excellent client service and professional judgment
  • Clear communication skills (both verbal and written) and strong organizational abilities
  • Advance proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook); expert-level Excel skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively, take ownership of tasks, and seek support when needed

Responsibilities

  • Perform standard pension benefit calculations (retirements, terminations, etc.) in accordance with plan rules and legislative requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end annual pension statement
  • Work with pension databases and TELUS Health’s internal software/systems
  • Receive and respond to routine plan enquiries and requests from clients
  • Collaborate with and support senior team members
  • Participate in internal training sessions to build knowledge of industry topics and trends
  • Assists with special projects, as required
  • Contribute to special projects as needed
  • Ability to read and understand a plan document
