About The Position

HealthRIGHT 360, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to providing accessible healthcare to vulnerable populations, aiming to overcome systemic barriers and promote health equity. They offer a comprehensive range of services including mental health care, substance use treatment (residential and outpatient), and primary health services. They also support individuals transitioning back into the community after involvement with the criminal justice system. By integrating physical and behavioral health and addressing social determinants of health, HealthRIGHT 360 empowers individuals towards resilience and recovery. The Be Well program, located on the Be Well Orange County campus, is a collaborative effort uniting various organizations to improve communication, bridge gaps, and eliminate barriers to care, creating a more compassionate system. The 24/7/365 residential substance use disorder (SUD) treatment program offers ASAM levels of care (3.1, 3.3, and 3.5) for males and females, along with 3.2 withdrawal management, totaling 42 beds. The Client Safety Navigator is an in-person role focused on maintaining a safe and respectful environment. This role involves collaborating with program leadership, law enforcement, and other teams to respond to emergencies such as drug use, overdose, and program disruptions.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Two years of job-related experience working with the criminal justice population or with the community behavioral health system preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure and maintain a safe and orderly environment for clients, staff, and visitors in compliance with agency and industry standards.
Monitor security cameras, attend building security meetings, and work collaboratively with service providers and administrative staff.
Clear areas of crowds, debris, and out-of-place items to maintain safety.
Direct and deflect traffic, de-escalate tense situations, and maintain a positive, respectful demeanor even during high-pressure situations.
Work collaboratively with other service providers and administrative staff to maintain an orderly environment.
Maintain appropriate boundaries and adhere to the organization’s code of conduct.
Make regular rounds to monitor entrances, exits, offices, common areas, and building perimeters.
Work with local law enforcement and file incident reports as needed.
Accurately distribute client money as assigned.
Welcome and assist clients returning from appointments, ensure sign-in, and check belongings for contraband.
Welcome visitors, check credentials, ensure sign-in, and escort them to the supervisor on duty.
Maintain client and visitor logs.
Answer and direct calls or messages.
Provide resources and information to clients and guests as needed.
Carry Narcan, recognize signs of overdose, and administer Narcan as necessary to reverse drug overdose.
De-escalate emotionally charged situations and maintain non-confrontational behavior during observation and intervention.
Administer CPR and/or first aid as needed.
Ensure client medications are securely stored and properly accounted for.
Document incidents in the facility log.
Document client progress notes.
Complete all documentation in accordance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and other funding requirements to satisfy internal and external evaluating requirements.
Attend and participate in meetings.
Participate in and complete all assigned training in a timely manner.
Read and respond to messages and emails when appropriate.
Work weekends and holidays as needed and as scheduled.
Perform other duties as assigned.
