About The Position

Invesco is seeking a Client Portfolio Analyst (CPA) to join their Investments, Strategy & Development team in New York City. This team supports investment capabilities across various channels and regions, aiming to maximize franchise value through product advocacy and collaboration with portfolio management and distribution teams. The role involves developing and updating client presentations, supporting client-facing tasks, creating investment commentary and thought leadership content, and coordinating with various departments to ensure accuracy and consistency. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial markets, excellent communication and analytical skills, and a creative approach to marketing financial products.

Requirements

  • Up to 5 years of related experience in financial services.
  • Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to translate complex investment concepts into client-friendly language.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, with a focus on continuous improvement, willingness to take risks, embrace and lead change, determination to find creative solutions to problems.
  • Strong work ethic and drive to succeed.
  • Technical skills, including strong investment acumen, understanding of financial markets and economics, proficiency with Bloomberg, Microsoft Office, Morningstar and other software products.
  • Passion for the industry and capital markets is a must.
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good people and influence management skills.
  • Undergraduate degree required, preferably in business or related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and updating customized client and prospect presentation materials, reflecting the latest market dynamics, portfolio positioning, and performance insights.
  • Supporting client-facing tasks and content creation in collaboration with the CPM team.
  • Providing high-quality support during client meetings and roadshows, including pre-meeting preparation and post-meeting follow-up materials.
  • Producing value-added investment commentary, market insights, and thought leadership content (e.g., blogs, white papers, talking points) to support client retention and acquisition efforts.
  • Assisting in the creation and maintenance of new quarterly marketing materials, investment commentary, and strategy updates.
  • Coordinating with investment teams to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Supporting key investment strategies by liaising with product, legal, compliance, marketing, and other departments.
  • Becoming deeply knowledgeable about each supported strategy's investment philosophy, process, current themes, risk attributes, positioning, outlook, and performance attribution.
  • Assisting with PM and CPM client preparation and understanding of key client needs and objections.
  • Building supplement slides in support of key client questions and investment trends.
  • Developing, maintaining, and enhancing bespoke collateral produced by the team.
  • Driving the development of thought leadership, insight pieces, and presentations across retail and institutional channels.
  • Monitoring key investment and industry trends and identifying key investment strategy issues and topics.
  • Understanding the competitive landscape/peer group and staying current on market trends and competitive developments.
  • Articulating product differentiation from the competition.
  • Developing a message for clients and prospects regarding the investment capabilities of the team’s various strategies.
  • Creating and reviewing marketing and meeting materials.
  • Providing regular communications, analysis, and insights to the Sales team for client use.
  • Developing and implementing effective product marketing initiatives to build sales momentum or defend investment franchises.
  • Supporting Distribution with training, large conferences, and meeting support.
  • Managing the ongoing internal and external experience for products and supporting fund-specific content with Product and Marketing.
  • Assisting Sales with custom proposals for significant business opportunities.
  • Participating in client calls/meetings as needed.
