About The Position

WiredPeople, the strategic talent arm for a family of market-leading professional services firms, is presenting an exclusive leadership opportunity on behalf of their partner, ISF. This is a hybrid role for candidates residing near the public sector market in Austin, Texas. This executive sales role is for leaders who build growth, act as trusted advisors to government leaders, and think strategically about long-term partnerships. The Client Partner will be a senior consultative leader responsible for commanding and growing a vital portfolio across state and local government, education, and related public sector entities, aiming to make a definitive impact on communities. The ideal candidate is a leader who thrives on complexity, operating at the intersection of public policy, technology, and transformative consulting, shaping client visions and co-creating opportunities rather than just responding to RFPs. This role offers the autonomy to build a business, supported by a dedicated delivery organization, and the chance to leave a lasting mark on public sector innovation within a premier consulting firm.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in SLED - state and local government and/or education markets.
  • An existing, active professional network in Texas, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.
  • A track record of leading complex pursuits from qualification through to contract execution.
  • Proven ability to oversee project teams and ensure client success in complex environments.
  • The ability to command a room, mentor teams, and build trusted relationships with senior leaders.

Nice To Haves

  • A history of building and exceeding a $3-5M annual portfolio in net new SLED sales.
  • Experience overseeing large-scale engagements in digital transformation, cloud, data, or IT modernization.
  • Familiarity with partner ecosystems like Microsoft, AWS, Google, or Salesforce.
  • A deep, nuanced understanding of legislative processes, public sector procurement, and funding cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Build and command a thriving $3-5M annual portfolio by solving clients' most complex challenges.
  • Own the full lifecycle from opportunity creation and proposal strategy to contract negotiation and successful procurement.
  • Serve as a true partner and trusted advisor to public sector executives.
  • Cultivate deep, multi-year relationships built on integrity, foresight, and a profound understanding of their operational and political landscape.
  • Provide executive oversight across a portfolio of consulting engagements.
  • In partnership with dedicated delivery teams, ensure quality execution, financial profitability, client satisfaction, and the effective mentorship of cross-functional teams.
  • Be the face of the firm in the market.
  • Expand the firm's presence and influence through an executive network, thought leadership, and strategic engagement with industry organizations and partners, particularly within the Texas public sector ecosystem.
