We are seeking a dynamic, mission-focused Senior SLED Account Executive in Texas to lead our growth within the State, Local Government, and Higher Education sectors. As a critical driver of our public sector strategy, you will be responsible for introducing the power of AI to new jurisdictions and institutions while expanding our footprint within existing accounts. This is an opportunity for a strategic seller who is passionate about helping state and local leaders move faster and improve how they deliver essential services to citizens. You won't just sell software; you will serve as a trusted advisor, helping CIOs and Department Heads bridge the gap between legacy infrastructure and their digital transformation goals. The Role at a Glance The Senior Account Executive will focus on adding new logos, managing the entire sales process from discovery to close, and leveraging their existing network within state and local agencies to gain access to high-impact opportunities. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of direct sales experience and a proven ability to partner with Regional System Integrators, Value-Added Resellers (VARs), and National Cooperative Purchasing Organizations. What You Will Do Drive Community Outcomes: Position OutSystems as the premier solution for SLED agencies, helping them accelerate digital modernization, improve constituent experiences, and eliminate massive application backlogs. Act as a Strategic Orchestrator: Manage complex sales cycles by leading a team of Solution Architects, Partner Managers, and Customer Success resources to deliver a unified value proposition. Cultivate a Regional Ecosystem: Build and leverage deep relationships with SLED-focused System Integrators and Channel Partners to co-sell and deliver comprehensive mission solutions. Master the Territory: Develop and execute a sophisticated account and territory plan, identifying high-impact use cases where low-code can solve urgent needs in Health & Human Services, DMV, Labor, and Higher Ed. Navigate Procurement: Proactively identify opportunities and navigate the complexities of State/Local procurement vehicles (e.g., NASPO, GSA Schedule 70, NCPA) and annual budget cycles. Advocate for Innovation: Champion the shift toward agile development, articulating how OutSystems meets stringent security requirements (including CJIS, HIPAA, or SOC2) while maintaining developer flexibility. Qualifications / What You Need To Succeed Experience: 5–10+ years of experience in direct software or SaaS sales, specifically focused on State & Local Government or Higher Education. Proven Track Record: A history of exceeding sales targets and closing complex, multi-year enterprise deals within SLED jurisdictions. Public Sector Fluency: Deep understanding of the unique funding streams (Grants, General Funds, Bond measures) and the "constituent-first" mission of local agencies. Relationship Architect: Experience establishing trusted relationships at the State CIO, Mayor/City Manager, and Department Director levels. Collaborative Mindset: A "win as a team" mentality with experience working alongside internal specialists and external partner ecosystems. Travel: Willingness to travel within the assigned territory (up to 40%) to engage with customers on-site. Requirements

5–10+ years of experience in direct software or SaaS sales, specifically focused on State & Local Government or Higher Education.
A history of exceeding sales targets and closing complex, multi-year enterprise deals within SLED jurisdictions.
Deep understanding of the unique funding streams (Grants, General Funds, Bond measures) and the "constituent-first" mission of local agencies.
