About The Position

The Client Onboarding Specialist is responsible for managing the initial 30-60-90 days of the customer journey, from kickoff through activation, early milestones, and the first renewal signal. This is an execution-focused role within an existing onboarding organization, requiring adherence to and improvement of established playbooks. The role is ideal for individuals with a sales background looking to transition into a delivery and relationship-focused position. The company, AI Acquisition, is a profitable, bootstrapped business with over 200 team members, specializing in launching and scaling information and software products. This position is within the onboarding team for a fast-growing product line, with the primary goal of ensuring customer completion, renewal, and referrals.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years in a client-facing Sales or SDR role
  • Experience working directly with US or UK customers, comfortable with their communication styles and expectations
  • Familiarity with CRM or CS tools (HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar)
  • Polished, professional communicator with native or near-native written and verbal English skills
  • Commercial understanding of customer value propositions
  • Empathetic communication style
  • Detail-oriented and reliable
  • Desire to move from a Sales-heavy role into a relationship and outcome-focused role

  • Background in online education, SaaS, coaching, agency, or info-product environments

Responsibilities

  • Own the customer journey from "paid" to "completing and renewing"
  • Run structured kickoff calls and keep customers moving through milestones
  • Spot early churn signals and execute saves before they escalate
  • Bridge what Sales promised to what delivery can actually deliver
  • Work within playbooks and flag what needs improving
  • Manage a small number of concurrent accounts with consistency and care
  • Communicate proactively to ensure customers are informed about next steps
