About The Position

This role serves as the first impression of Ohio Desk, handling responsibilities such as answering phones, welcoming guests, and supporting sales and leadership teams. The position involves managing client and showroom experiences, including being a point of contact, managing visitors, supporting furniture sales, and maintaining the showroom's appearance. It also includes sales and team support, such as assisting with presentations, proposals, and bid documents, coordinating customer visits and events, managing inquiries, performing CRM data entry, and assisting with social media content. Operational and coordination tasks include supporting showroom inventory, product transfers, and coordinating with the Operations team. The ideal candidate enjoys a supportive role, is comfortable with varied tasks, is organized, proactive, helpful, possesses strong communication skills, and is proficient with Microsoft tools.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in customer service, sales, hospitality, office support, or a related role
  • High school diploma required
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Confident using Microsoft tools like Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)

Responsibilities

  • Be the friendly, professional first point of contact
  • Welcome and manage walk-in and scheduled showroom visitors
  • Support basic furniture sales and small client requests, from quoting to order completion
  • Keep the showroom organized, stocked, and always “customer-ready”
  • Assist the sales team with presentations, proposals, and bid documents (PowerPoint + Excel)
  • Help coordinate customer visits and events, agendas, calendars, catering, signage, follow-ups
  • Manage inquiries, leads from multiple platforms, and help route them appropriately
  • Perform CRM data entry and provide administrative support to leadership
  • Assist with content for social media platforms
  • Support showroom inventory, product transfers, and floor moves
  • Coordinate with Operations on showroom changes and inventory coming in/out
  • Pitch in wherever help is needed, no task is too small or too strategic
