About The Position

With 200 offices across North America, we combine the personalized service model of a local consultant with the global resources of the world’s leading professional services firm, Marsh (NYSE: MRSH). Applicants must be within driving distance to our Newnan, GA office to be considered for this role and have the ability to commute to the office a minimum of three days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related discipline; advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) or professional designations such as CPCU, ARM, or equivalent highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in insurance, risk management, or captive insurance, with demonstrated expertise in single parent captive structures.
  • Deep knowledge of captive insurance models, alternative risk financing mechanisms, regulatory environments, and risk management best practices.
  • Proven track record of managing complex client relationships at a senior level, with a consultative approach that drives program success without direct sales responsibilities.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and building trust with senior client stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mindset with advanced problem-solving capabilities and a data-driven approach to underwriting and risk assessment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and familiarity with insurance management and data analytics tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required for client engagements and industry events (approximately 10% travel).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with agility and sound judgment
  • Property & Casualty license required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all phases of captive insurance engagements, ensuring seamless project execution, timely delivery, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop and manage detailed project data request lists; conduct rigorous reviews to confirm completeness and accuracy of information received.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and refinement of client deliverables, including complex PowerPoint presentations, ensuring clarity, consistency, and strategic alignment.
  • Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues or challenges within engagements, applying advanced problem-solving skills to deliver effective solutions.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison, leading high-level project meetings and providing strategic updates on project milestones and outcomes.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of insurance programs to assess profitability and risk exposure by evaluating premium and loss history data.
  • Partner with brokerage teams to thoroughly understand and address insureds’ insurance requirements, including certification and policy limit specifications.
  • Maintain and enhance financial reporting frameworks for fronting carriers and captive managers, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead risk pricing initiatives and premium allocation strategies, leveraging actuarial insights and market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with internal underwriting, actuarial, and service teams to ensure integrated and accurate program delivery.
  • Drive the development and presentation of sophisticated proposals to clients and prospects, articulating value propositions and strategic benefits.
  • Foster ongoing client engagement through proactive communication, performance monitoring, and program enhancement recommendations.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of captive insurance processes and methodologies.
