About The Position

Acera Insurance is seeking a Client Executive with expertise in commercial insurance, attention to detail, and a sales focus. This role is responsible for prospecting new clients, negotiating contracts with insurers, managing client relationships and claims, traveling as required, representing Acera Insurance at trade shows, managing accounts receivable, working with assigned staff, and developing presentation and marketing materials. The position is full-time and permanent, located in Calgary, AB.

Requirements

5+ years of related and progressive experience in the insurance industry with a strong working knowledge of commercial insurance products
Alberta Level 2 License is required
Skilled user of the Microsoft Office Suite of products
Familiar with insurance document management software

Nice To Haves

CIP or CAIB designation, or working towards is considered an asset

Responsibilities

Prospecting new clients in various forms including cold calling, networking events, association events, social media and other forms of sales activity
Sales and negotiations of contracts with insurers
Managing client relationships
Managing claims with clients and insurers
Travel as required to insurer, client or association events
Representing and promoting Acera Insurance to potential clients at trade shows
Responsible for collection and management of all accounts receivable related to clients
Managing and working with assigned associate staff to meet the needs of clients and insurers
Developing presentation and marketing material as required
