About The Position

The Client Engagement Specialist plays a vital role in supporting client retention and promoting successful recovery outcomes. This position focuses on building strong relationships with clients, identifying early signs of disengagement, and providing timely support to encourage continued participation in treatment and recovery within the Isaiah House community. The role involves monitoring client progress, conducting regular check-ins, providing empathetic support, and intervening when clients are at risk of leaving treatment. The specialist will also assist clients in problem-solving, educate them on the importance of continued treatment, and collaborate with clinical staff and leadership to enhance client retention and motivation. The position requires maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to improving client engagement efforts while reinforcing Isaiah House’s Core Values and Mission.

  • Ability to actively listen and respond empathetically to diverse client needs
  • Excellent observational skills with the ability to identify early signs of disengagement or distress
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly with documentation
  • Ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships with diverse populations
  • Experience in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field preferred but not required
  • Proven experience in client engagement, case management, or related roles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support clients’ recovery journey
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in client support, case management, behavioral health, or a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of recovery processes and the importance of ongoing treatment is preferred
  • Knowledge of mental health, addiction recovery, or related treatment modalities is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Monitor client progress and engagement to identify early signs of potential treatment discontinuation
  • Conduct regular (hourly) check-ins with clients, including new admissions, to support engagement and ensure a smooth transition into the program
  • Build trust, rapport, and a strong sense of connection within the Isaiah House community
  • Provide empathetic support, active listening, and encouragement to address client needs and concerns
  • Identify early warning signs of disengagement, frustration, or intent to leave treatment
  • Provide immediate support, de-escalation, and intervention for clients at risk of leaving
  • Assist clients in problem-solving challenges related to treatment, personal stressors, or general concerns
  • Educate clients on the importance of continued treatment and the recovery process
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, TCMs, and leadership to address barriers impacting client commitment
  • Develop and support strategies to enhance client retention and motivation
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and interventions in accordance with company policy
  • Participate in Staff and Executive meetings and contribute insights to improve client engagement and retention efforts
