About The Position

Client Delivery Partner (CDP) - Retail is a role within Industry Solutions Delivery (ISD), a global organization focused on accelerating digital transformation for Microsoft's largest customers. The CDP is accountable for the successful planning and execution of transformational programs, leveraging deep industry experience to lead dedicated teams and achieve measurable business outcomes. This role emphasizes building trusted, long-term relationships with customer executives, shaping business strategy, and driving results through effective program execution. The position offers flexible remote work options but requires three days a week onsite at the Microsoft Bentonville, Arkansas office, with up to 25% travel. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or related field AND 10+ years solution delivery, customer-facing consulting, or digital transformation experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or related field AND 12+ years solution delivery, customer-facing consulting, or digital transformation experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years relevant work experience within Retail industry.
  • 12+ years relevant work experience in solution delivery.
  • 5+ years relevant experience in financial management (e.g. profit and loss).
  • Management consulting experience, influencing executive decisions and driving business outcomes.
  • Experience running disciplined customer and business review processes with cross-functional teams, prioritizing blockers, and problem solving across organizational boundaries.
  • Experience executing transformation strategies and operating in complex environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop executive relationships with customers in a matrixed environment by bringing relevant industry insights and solutions.
  • Deliver transformation solutions in a matrix environment that strengthens trust in Microsoft through consistent, high-quality execution.
  • Provide executive sponsorship within Microsoft to ensure strong delivery execution.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities.
  • Build a culture focused on business outcomes and product realization by working with delivery and technical solutioning teams aligned to the account.
  • Work across organizational boundaries (Customer Success, Account Teams, Specialist Sales, Engineering, leadership teams, partner ecosystem) to align on customer's long-term success and ensure high quality, performance, and value.
  • Drive outcome-based client value through digital transformation, innovation, and industry thought leadership.
  • Leverage industry and functional expertise to shape client strategy and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Co-create transformation roadmaps with the client and drive innovation across the program portfolio.
  • Orchestrate the Microsoft ecosystem (product, sales, and services) to accelerate impact.
  • Maintain a strong industry presence through events, forums, and publishing to strengthen thought leadership.
  • Align Microsoft and partner resources across organizational boundaries to execute against customer priorities.
  • Build durable, trust-based relationships.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customer executives through deep understanding of the customer and their industry.
  • Partner with Microsoft executives to expand and deepen strategic relationships.
  • Enable sustainable account growth through long-term strategy and execution.
  • Develop a multi-year account vision and plan aligned to customer business needs.
  • Manage long-term account financials, including pipeline/funnel development, revenue, and strategic investments.
  • Help originate deals and next step proposals that shape innovative commercial constructs and solution approaches.
  • Set and maintain a high bar for quality and outcomes across business development, delivery, technical solutioning, and business analysis.
  • Lead individuals within a matrixed professional services team; provide performance feedback and mentor future leaders.
  • Guide Microsoft teams on client engagement strategies and scalable, repeatable solutions.
