Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • 1+ years of experience working in customer service, commercial lines insurance for a carrier or broker preferred.
  • Must be detailed with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a high sense of urgency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications required.
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
  • Property/Casualty license or ability to attain is required.

  • The ideal candidate will possess the ability to grow their knowledge within this position and advance into roles increasingly integral to the Transportation department. This is a learning and skill-building role designed with the ultimate goal of growing into a Client Manager position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with pre-renewal entries and communications, gather renewal updates, and assess carrier requirements.
  • Assist the service team in issuing binding documents including the processing of Auto ID Cards, preparing templates and issuing certificates of insurance, and invoicing new and renewal policies.
  • Review and prepare new and renewal policies for delivery, ensuring compliance with bind order instructions, checking company forms, and verifying coverage limits.
  • Assist client with direct bill questions.
  • Complete mid-term policy services, including receiving endorsement orders, submitting change requests to carriers, reviewing audits and endorsements, and resolving discrepancies with clients and carriers.
  • Produce certificates of insurance and update the Agency Management System as necessary, including invoicing endorsements and audits and processing cancellations.
  • Enter new business applications in the agency management system.
  • Research and respond to client billing inquiries.
  • Other duties as assigned to successfully complete role.
