About The Position

Mindful Support Services is dedicated to empowering therapists, psychologists, and nurse practitioners to establish private practices by handling the administrative tasks. They offer high-quality billing, marketing, and administrative services to independent mental health care providers. Since 2011, they have expanded to serve over 2,000 providers across 20 locations and continue to grow. This role, internally known as "Client Support Specialist," is the first point of contact for new client intakes and scheduling. The specialist matches new clients with the most suitable provider, educates them on insurance, authorizations, payments, and provider policies, and builds rapport over the phone. This position is crucial for improving community access to mental health care. No prior medical or insurance experience is necessary, as comprehensive training is provided.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced customer support role.
  • Resilience: Navigate challenging conversations with empathy and maintain composure while supporting clients facing minor or severe mental health issues.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Communicate clearly and effectively over the phone, email or Microsoft Teams.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Match clients with the appropriate provider based on their needs once trained.

Responsibilities

  • Create a warm and welcoming phone call for new clients calling to access mental healthcare for the first time.
  • Match new clients with the mental health provider that best suits their needs.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail when entering client data.
  • Meet personal/team qualitative and quantitative goals.
  • Assist with emotionally challenging phone calls and refer clients in crisis to the appropriate resources.
  • Educate clients about insurance, authorizations, provider policies, and payments.
