About The Position

We are seeking an energetic and experienced client care coordinator for a friendly, busy, and fast-growing, multi-clinician psychotherapy practice. This is the perfect position for a psychology or social work student.

Requirements

At least 2 years of administrative work experience.
Proficiency with G-Suite, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

At least 2 years of medical billing experience is a plus.
At least 2 years of patient care experience is a plus.
Prior experience in a healthcare setting such as mental health, psychotherapy, or medical offices is a plus.
Experience handling confidential patient information is a plus.

Responsibilities

Checking eligibility and benefits verification for treatments and procedures.
Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtaining any missing information.
Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing.
Maintain and facilitate patient scheduling.
General office management tasks, including routing of phone calls to clinicians, sorting mail, keeping up office supplies, and equipment
Other duties deemed necessary by the office manager
Customer service skills for interacting with patients regarding medical claims and payments, including communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds.
Must be available on weeknights and Saturdays.
Knowledge of insurance guidelines, including HMO/PPO, Medicare, and other payer requirements and systems.
Effective communication abilities for phone contacts with insurance payers to resolve issues.
