About The Position

Client Ambassador at AMFM Healthcare in Poulsbo, WA. This is an in-person position with a schedule of Sunday-Thursday, 3pm-11:30pm. The role involves creating a safe and nurturing environment for individuals recovering from mental health and co-occurring disorders. The Client Ambassador will be central to client care, providing supervision, support, and guidance, ensuring daily activities run smoothly, and clients are safe, respected, and encouraged. This role also supports overall program needs, including direct care coverage, facilitating intakes, client support, and discharge processes.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • High School Diploma/GED with 1+ year of related experience OR a Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, or related field
  • Possess valid driver’s license with ability to be insured by our auto insurance policy (requires 4 continuous years of driving experience, 21 years of age or older, less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and no more than 1 major violation in the last 3 years)
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Current T.B. clearance
  • Ability to pass background checks required by ADP and other governing bodies
  • Physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics and transport clients safely to all daily activities, ensuring timely arrival to scheduled activities and appointments, participant safety, and appropriate situation assessment or de-escalation processes.
  • Utilize intervention and communication skills in working with clients, their families, and significant others daily and in crisis, focusing on the client experience.
  • Facilitate admissions and discharges, communicate crisis or interventions to program leadership and clinical staff, approve over-the-counter PRN medications, and document client activities in the electronic health record system.
  • Adhere to all Joint Commission policies and procedures, including Waived Testing, Infection Prevention and Control, Emergency Management, and Environment of Care procedures.
  • Cover shifts or meal breaks for staff in other regional facilities when asked by leadership, upholding facility environment through cleanliness and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with the program nurse and clinical team regarding medication management, monitor and report client behavior with medication side effects, and monitor and document client self-administration of medications while coaching clients in self-management.
  • Maintain the integrity of the residences, ensuring optimal cleanliness and hygiene. Conduct orientation to new residents, including reviewing safety drills and locations of safety equipment.
  • Facilitate recovery and clinically indicated activities and groups according to organization policy and document into the electronic health record, assessing situations appropriately and/or utilizing de-escalation processes.
  • Conduct observation rounds to ensure client safety, document client behavior and participation in treatment, and report in daily passdowns. Responsible for client attendance of daily recovery activities as scheduled.
  • Complete various administrative tasks, including ordering supplies for regional facilities and assigned auditing and inventorying.
