About The Position

AMFM Healthcare is seeking a Client Ambassador to join their team. This role involves creating a safe and nurturing environment for individuals recovering from mental health and co-occurring disorders. The Client Ambassador will provide supervision, support, and guidance to clients, ensuring daily activities run smoothly and that clients are safe, respected, and encouraged throughout their treatment experience. This position also supports overall program needs, including coverage for direct care positions, facilitating intakes, client support, and discharge processes.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • High School Diploma/GED with 1+ year of related experience OR a Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, or related field
  • Possess valid driver’s license with ability to be insured by our auto insurance policy (4 continuous years of driving experience, 21 years of age or older, less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and no more than 1 major violation in the last 3 years)
  • CPR/First Aid certification and current T.B. clearance
  • Ability to pass background checks required by ADP and other governing bodies
  • Physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and professionally
  • Comfort with using computers and software such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Understanding of recovery principles and behavioral health support practices
  • A team-oriented mindset with a passion for helping others thrive

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics and transport clients safely to all daily activities, ensuring timely arrival to scheduled activities and appointments, and participant safety.
  • Assess situations and utilize de-escalation processes as needed, contributing to streamlined logistics through communication and initiative.
  • Utilize intervention and communication skills in working with clients, their families, and significant others daily and in crisis, focusing on the client experience.
  • Facilitate admissions and discharges as needed.
  • Communicate crisis or interventions to program leadership and clinical staff.
  • Approve over-the-counter PRN medications.
  • Navigate and utilize the electronic health record system to document client activities effectively.
  • Adhere to all Joint Commission policies and procedures, including Waived Testing, Infection Prevention and Control, and Emergency Management and Environment of Care procedures.
  • Cover shifts or meal breaks for staff in other regional facilities when asked by leadership.
  • Uphold the environment of the facilities through cleanliness and creating a welcoming environment.
  • Collaborate with the program nurse and clinical team regarding medication management.
  • Monitor and report client behavior with medication side effects.
  • Monitor and document client self-administration of medications while coaching clients in self-management.
  • Document medications in accordance with the organization’s policy on medication use.
  • Maintain the integrity of the residences, ensuring optimal cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Conduct orientation to new residents, including reviewing safety drills and locations of safety equipment and evacuation procedures.
  • Facilitate recovery and clinically indicated activities and groups according to organization policy and document into the electronic health record.
  • Conduct observation rounds as needed to ensure client safety.
  • Document client behavior and participation in treatment.
  • Effectively and correctly report client information in daily passdowns.
  • Responsible for client attendance of daily recovery activities as scheduled.
  • Complete various administrative tasks, including ordering supplies and assigned auditing and inventorying.
