About The Position

MCV Law is hiring a Client Advocate/Case Manager to join their Workers’ Compensation Team working in the Syracuse office. This is an in-office position working Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 5:00. The ideal candidate must be a detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for helping people. Prior experience in Workers’ Compensation is preferred but not required. Relevant experience in legal, medical, or insurance fields is ideal.

Requirements

  • Must be a detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for helping people.
  • Candidates must be able to lift 25 pounds and climb a flight of stairs.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in Workers’ Compensation is preferred but not required.
  • Relevant experience in legal, medical, or insurance fields is ideal.

Responsibilities

  • Phone intake of new cases
  • Preparation of retainer documents
  • Meeting with clients to go over retainers and other documents
  • Requests for hearings
  • Requests for medical records and follow-up from providers
  • Consistent phone and email contact with clients
  • Transcription
  • Assistance with case strategy
  • Deposition coordination
  • Correspondence
  • Legal documents to send to the Workers’ Compensation Board, medical providers, insurance carriers, and other law offices
