About The Position

The Client Advisory Manager will serve as a project manager for client engagements, ensuring the smooth flow of all projects for assigned clients to successful completion. This role involves overseeing, managing, preparing, analyzing, and advising wealthy families on all aspects of personal financial planning, including investments, estate planning, tax planning, debt management, and insurance. The position requires gathering client financial information, researching investment ideas and wealth management strategies, assessing financial decisions, and developing creative, logical plans with quantitative and qualitative analysis. Responsibilities also include preparing financial reports and presentations, coordinating investment strategies, attending client meetings, communicating with clients and their outside advisors (CPAs, Attorneys, etc.), and ensuring all work products are timely, accurate, and well-thought-out. The role involves delegating tasks, managing Analysts and Senior Analysts, communicating project status, and mentoring junior staff through training and career development. Additionally, the position requires continuous business network establishment and business development skill building.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university with major focus in accounting or finance
  • 5-10 years’ of work experience which is industry related
  • Must have strong understanding of wealth management process
  • Asset allocation and application to each client’s goals
  • Performance reporting and how to interpret numbers
  • Estate planning and estate reduction strategies
  • Charitable planning strategies
  • Ability to perform property and casualty assessment
  • Understand how to evaluate life insurance and the product options
  • Must have strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills as well as the ability to learn new systems and is internet savvy
  • Strong financial and analytical skills and understanding of basic financial concepts
  • Desire to learn and grow professionally in the personal wealth management business
  • Must consent to and have favorable consumer report and background check test

Nice To Haves

  • Have completed the CFP program or in process of completion
  • IMCA, (CPWA), CPA, CFA or JD designation a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as project manager for client engagements, managing the flow of all projects for assigned clients to a successful completion.
  • Oversee, manage, prepare, analyze, and advise wealthy families on all aspects of personal financial planning, including investments, estate planning, tax planning, debt management, and insurance.
  • Gather all information for client financial matters.
  • Conduct research on investment ideas and wealth management strategies.
  • Assess financial decisions and situations, thinking creatively of logical plans to evaluate client options and perform quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for clients.
  • Coordinate and execute investment strategies.
  • Attend client meetings and provide input, talk to clients on the phone, and coordinate work and communication with the client’s outside advisors (CPA’s, Attorney’s etc.).
  • Ensure that all work products presented are timely, accurate, and well thought out.
  • Delegate tasks and manage Analysts and Senior Analysts, and communicate the status of projects to them and the rest of the Client Advisory Team.
  • Mentor analysts and senior analysts by training, teaching, and developing their careers at the firm.
  • Continue to establish business networks and build business development skills.
