About The Position

The Client Advisor role focuses on building strong customer relationships, understanding their financial goals, and matching them with Seacoast Bank's products and services. This position involves both sales and operational responsibilities, requiring excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a strong understanding of banking products and technology. The role also emphasizes adherence to bank policies, procedures, and ethical standards, including regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 6 months cash handling experience required.
  • College degree or 1+ years in retail sales and/or financial services experience required.
  • Flexible schedule required with ability to work during hours of operations, including weekends and occasional non-bank operational hours.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and exercise a high degree of initiative.
  • PC Proficiency in Desktop, Laptop, Tablet, and Smartphone devices as well as Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • Familiarity and compliance with all regulatory, legal, ethical, and Bank risk mitigation requirements.
  • On time, successful completion of annual required training post-hire.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for and build rapport during customer interactions.
  • Utilize questions to understand customer financial goals and match them with bank products.
  • Explain bank products and services confidently and proficiently.
  • Close sales based on customer needs and ask for referrals.
  • Exhibit good listening skills and communicate persuasively.
  • Discuss and enroll customers in self-service products/processes.
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and requests.
  • Seek assistance for complex financial matters.
  • Balance business needs with customer requests while managing risk.
  • Embrace new technology and stay updated on industry changes.
  • Participate in community, charitable, or civic events.
  • Deliver presentations on banking products/services at networking events.
  • Collaborate with other associates to develop trusting and cooperative working relationships.
  • Actively pursue NMLS registration status.
  • Build proficiencies in consumer deposit and lending products and processes.
  • Develop an introductory understanding of small business deposit and lending products and processes.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in outbound calling.
  • Identify referral opportunities with internal business partners.
  • Open and process accounts, perform account maintenance, and handle transactions.
  • Ensure branch adherence to AML/BSA requirements, audit procedures, dual control, security, and Business Continuity.
  • Review and adhere to branch operational procedures and controls, and follow up on audit deficiencies.
  • Balance cash drawer daily and monitor work for accuracy.
  • Follow management direction to resolve customer objections and solve problems.
  • Adhere to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct.
  • Follow all safety and security procedures.
