About The Position

This role at Marsh, based in Houston, TX, is a hybrid position requiring at least three days a week in the office. The position involves identifying client needs and delivering innovative insurance solutions. Key responsibilities include managing policies, supporting Requests for Proposals (RFPs), collaborating with markets for optimal placements, developing renewal strategies, and maintaining strong client and underwriter relationships. Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in commercial property insurance; experience in energy and power is preferred.
  • Property & Casualty (P&C) license or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
  • Ability to build strong relationships to deliver innovative solutions and immediate impact.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, insurance, or a related field.
  • Background in energy and power insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify client needs and develop innovative insurance and risk management solutions, including new product development.
  • Lead client teams to ensure accurate policy management, and that client inquiries are addressed to ensure satisfaction.
  • Provide technical expertise in preparing and presenting Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and support distribution colleagues in business development.
  • Collaborate with Energy Property Insurance markets to secure optimal terms and conditions for client placements.
  • Develop and execute renewal and placement strategies, analyzing terms and conditions to inform decision-making and make recommendations to clients on purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain strong client and market relationships, manage coverage changes with underwriters, and ensure policy specifications are drafted to meet client needs and expectations.
