About The Position

Associa is currently seeking a Temporary Part-Time Client Accounting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll contribute in a fast-paced, centralized accounting environment, supporting financial services for community associations on a flexible, part-time basis. This temporary, part-time position provides valuable hands-on experience in a professional accounting environment, along with opportunities to build your skills and work alongside an experienced team in a company recognized as a Great Place to Work for six consecutive years.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook) and GAAP
  • Experience in General Ledger Accounting.
  • Experience with AP and AR transaction process.
  • Experience in budget implementation.
  • Ability to attend in person or virtual board meetings as needed.
  • Able to interpret verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally on phone, email, and in-person.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with in-office tasks such as processing checks, sorting, coding, and completing AR income forms
  • Supporting the review of monthly financial statements and assisting with questions from Community Association Managers (CAMs) and Board Members
  • Helping prepare monthly reports, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Monthly Trends, Delinquencies, Prepaid Accounts, Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger details
  • Assisting with onboarding new clients, including internal communications, bank account setup/closures, signature card processing, and budget entry
  • Supporting AP and AR corrections, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and account adjustments as needed
  • Assisting with the management of recurring charges such as homeowner assessments, parking, and storage fees
