About The Position

415 Group is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our Client Advisory Services team, known as 415 Access. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building client relationships, overseeing recurring accounting engagements, developing team members, and turning financial information into practical business insights. Experience working with nonprofit organizations and nonprofit accounting is strongly preferred. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in our Canton, Ohio office, offering a combination of in-office collaboration and remote work.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of accounting, outsourced accounting, or full-charge bookkeeping experience
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience managing multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to clients and team members
  • Demonstrated ability to review work, provide direction, and hold others accountable
  • A thoughtful, proactive approach to client service
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience in public accounting, client advisory services, or outsourced accounting
  • Experience providing accounting services to nonprofit organizations
  • Knowledge of nonprofit financial reporting, fund accounting, restricted contributions, and grant tracking
  • Previous supervisory, project leadership, or team-development experience
  • QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor and/or payroll certification
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or management reporting

Responsibilities

  • Oversee recurring accounting engagements for multiple clients, including privately held businesses and nonprofit organizations
  • Build trusted relationships and serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients
  • Review and, when needed, prepare: General ledger activity and trial balances, Journal entries and adjusting entries, Bank and balance sheet reconciliations, Monthly financial statements and management reports
  • Ensure client financial records are accurate, complete, and delivered on time
  • Analyze financial and operational information to identify trends, concerns, and opportunities
  • Explain financial results clearly and provide practical recommendations to clients
  • Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and other financial decisions
  • Review the work of associates and senior associates and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Train, mentor, and support team members in their professional development
  • Maintain organized, complete, and well-documented workpapers
  • Manage engagement budgets, priorities, deadlines, and client expectations
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, internal controls, technology use, and client processes
  • Recognize additional ways 415 Access can support clients and communicate those opportunities to firm leadership
