Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of three years of insurance experience is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of customer service experience required.
  • Must be a licensed P&C agent
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Products

Responsibilities

  • Servicing customers with regard to daily needs.
  • Quoting new business and annual policy renewal processes.
  • Checking policies and reporting of initial claims to insurance carriers.
  • Handling small accounts without an assigned producer, requiring a broad understanding of company underwriting systems and products.
  • Full service, retention, and rounding of accounts.
  • Gathering detailed underwriting information for quoting and remarketing policies.
  • Researching and selecting potential markets.
  • Monitoring outstanding quotes and applications.
  • Making independent decisions on coverage as needed.
  • Educating clients on agency payment expectations & cancellation procedures.
  • Reviewing endorsements, claims, audits, and cancellation/non-renewal reports.
  • Researching and monitoring activity associated with clients and carriers.
  • Issuing of new and renewal Certificates of Insurance.
  • Submitting initial claims and following up per workflows.
  • Checking policies and reviewing endorsements & audits for accuracy.
  • Performing special projects as assigned.
