About The Position

This role is responsible for managing retail receiving operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. The Clerk will coordinate partner deliveries, check in merchandise, process credit and disbursements, and utilize the computer system for inventory management. They will also ensure the security of the receiving area and provide training to other partners. Collaboration with department managers and store management is key to ensure proper paperwork and mail distribution.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • One year retail experience.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and punctuality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for developing positive and efficient working relationships with partners and team members.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Host Reporting and CT 2020 with some knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to use fork lifts and pallet jacks.
  • Ten key by touch.
  • Perform all other physical aspects of the job including bending, squatting, lifting, climbing, and walking.
  • Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance manuals and implements the direction in performance of daily duties.
  • Ability to function as a team member and get along with others.

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge, greet, and engage guests entering the area or department.
  • Coordinate partner deliveries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Check in merchandise, verifying the store has received the accurate order and is billed correctly.
  • Ensure accurate credit and disbursement for reclamation merchandise.
  • Monitor partners to assure quality inventory control.
  • Keep the receiving area clean, safe, and efficient.
  • Organize walls and racks of merchandise in the receiving area.
  • Utilize the computer system for accurate processing and communication of inventory and receipts.
  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of information being processed.
  • Monitor fire exit doors in receiving, keeping them unblocked and free from debris.
  • Provide sufficient back-up training to other partners.
  • Coordinate with department managers and store management to ensure proper paperwork is received with the proper distribution of UPS and FedEx mail on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Ensure all items are authorized and on file.
  • Perform other duties as requested or required by management.
