Clerk I Revenue Audit
About The Position
The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing general purchasing clerical functions including but not limited to the following: filing and processing data into the system database and providing general support to the purchasing department as needed. Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service. Performs daily audit of cage, slot machines, and non-gaming revenue areas. Investigates and reports discrepancies determined through audit process to the Casino Controller. Prepares information and reports for the Casino Controller in a manner to ensure compliance with Gaming commission and Company policies and procedures. Anticipates ongoing changes, problems, and opportunities in order to maintain effective systems and procedures. Perform work regularly and predictably. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Completion of high school.
- Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
- Must successfully pass background check.
- Must successfully pass drug screening.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Knowledge of the Gaming industry, including principles and practices of a capital and operations budget.
- Knowledge of the following office systems: Microsoft Office Word and Excel, and other accounting systems.
- Knowledge of 10-Key calculator.
- Knowledge of sound interpersonal judgment and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of financial systems and proficiency with spreadsheet software.
- Knowledge of audit functions.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical problems.
- Ability to review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively perform multiple tasks.
- Ability to interface professionally with business contacts and guests.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, and management.
- Ability to be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures.
- Ability to prepare and issuance of Exception based on audit findings.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, understanding the potential impact on the department.
