About The Position

Saskatoon Co-op is here to serve our members with products and services that help build, feed and fuel individuals and communities. Saskatoon Co-op has over 1400 employees serving over 127,000 members in Saskatoon and surrounding communities through the provision of goods and services in the areas of grocery, liquor, pharmacy, petroleum and lubricants, home and building solutions, and agricultural supplies including fertilizer.

Requirements

  • Must be proficient in cash register operation.
  • Must possess adequate knowledge of all lines of merchandise handled by the Food Department.
  • Must be strongly service oriented and motivated, and capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Grade XII or equivalent
  • Applicant must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • To come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude.
  • To be dependable for all scheduled shifts.
  • To provide outstanding courteous customer service.
  • To provide a neat, clean, well merchandised service counter at all times.
  • To complete, on a daily basis, all opening procedures as required.
  • To complete, on a daily basis, all operational procedures required by the service counter.
  • To have a good working understanding of the selling of service counter products.
  • To complete, on a daily basis, all closing procedures as required.
  • To operate the cash register as required.
  • To operate and maintain equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • To perform receiving duties as required.
  • To be familiar with and adhere to all Saskatoon Co‑op Policies and Procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
