This position is responsible for maintaining attendance records for the campus as assigned. The role involves acquiring and maintaining daily ADA records, collecting and recording all absences, and processing other attendance records. The Clerk will enter ADA and UE absences on the computer, balance the ADA report, and notify parents. Additional duties include writing admits and early dismissals, filing, and referring students with attendance problems to the principal and/or attendance officer. The role also requires assisting principals, counselors, and parents in communicating with students, answering the switchboard when needed, delivering messages and items to students, and recording student activity in and out of the building. Assistance in preparing for the opening of the school year is also expected. For elementary duties, this includes registration, receptionist duties, answering the phone, and collecting homework for ill children.
