About The Position
This role supports the distribution process within the department of Anatomic Pathology. The Lab Assistants are responsible for filing and distributing the on-site and off-site materials produced by the laboratories and assisting with sending out any relevant send-out requests.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or the equivalent.
- Effective oral, written, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of personal computer.
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- A minimum of one year of full time work experience in a laboratory setting
Responsibilities
- Filing and retrieving blocks and slides, both on-site and preparing blocks and slides shipments for off site storage.
- Discarding of only blocks and slides from archive.
